Kitchen Deli Production Assistant

Part Time

Reporting to the Kitchen Deli Production Supervisor, the Kitchen Deli Production Assistant (BBQ, Sushi &/or other Cooked Foods) is responsible for supporting the Kitchen Deli Production Supervisor producing the assigned products (BBQ, Sushi &/or other Cooked Foods) based on orders received, control quality, freshness, inventory, and wastage.

Major Responsibilities:
1. Produce the correct quantity of assigned products (BBQ, Sushi &/or other Cooked Foods) based on orders received
2. Perform production duties as assigned for various products (BBQ, Sushi &/or other Cooked Foods), which may include but are not limited to:
· Prepare various perishable food items such as vegetable, meat, fish, etc.
· Rice cooking, Vegetable/Meat/Fish cutting, Dish stir-frying, Deep Frying, Pan Frying, etc.
· Perform any other production duties as assigned by the superior(s)
3. Control product (BBQ, Sushi &/or other Cooked Foods) quality, freshness, inventory level and wastage
4. Responsible for the cleanliness, hygiene, equipment and tools maintenance follow up and workplace safety of the production area
5. Assist to answer customers' inquiries
6. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure food safety, safe work procedures to protect yourself and others and not engage in unsafe behavior.
7. Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior(s)

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
1. Accountable, pleasant and is able to take initiatives
2. Possess knowledge and prior experience in cooking Kitchen products (BBQ, Sushi &/or other Cooked Foods), including but are not limited to:
· Prepare various perishable food items such as vegetable, meat, fish, etc.
· Rice cooking, Vegetable/Meat/Fish cutting, Dish stir-frying, Deep Frying, Pan Frying, etc.
· Perform any other production duties as assigned by the superior(s)
3. Possess knowledge of workplace health & safety and food safety (Food Safe Certification requires)
4. Have a good understanding of tools & equipment relevant to the job
5. Good communication skills, able to communicate in English and Chinese (Cantonese &/or Mandarin) an asset
6. Good organization, and problem-solving skills
7. A good team player
8. Flexible to work in various shifts, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, morning and evening hours
