How much time should I allocate to visit Santa?
Keep in mind that our SantaLand installation is very busy, with lineups throughout the season. The average Santa wait time is 2-2.5 hours during busy times, so plan accordingly. Best to come early in the day, early in the season.
I heard there is a system to hold my place in line-how does that work?
If there is a line-up to register, you still need to wait in line for that. Once you have entered your information on the kiosk, depending on how long a wait you still have ahead of you, you MAY have an opportunity to use our new SMS text to return system to hold your place in line This will let you continue your shopping or grab a quick bite until it is time to come back for your photo with Santa. You will receive a text when it’s your turn for photos with Santa. Ask a Santa Helper for more information.
What if I choose to wait in line??
Once you register your information on the kiosk, you then enter into the Santa set and there are some fun digital games to play in the line-up. Plus, to keep the children busy our staff can provide an activity sheet along with a “Letter to Santa” template that your child can fill out and drop off at Santa’s mailbox.
I was there before closing time, why can't I see Santa?
Due to regular high volume, the SantaLand staff will close the line up when it has built up to the maximum amount of guests Santa will be able to see before SantaLand closes for the day.
Can I take more than one photo with Santa?
Yes - photos with Santa are by donation per photo. Minimum suggested donation is $3 per photo.
Can my pet have its picture taken with Santa?
No. The only animals allowed in the shopping centre are assistance animals. (e.g. supporting guide dogs).
Where does the money go?
Every dollar collected will be donated to the Burnaby Christmas Bureau.
Can I have a printed copy of my picture with Santa?
Your SantaLand picture will be emailed to you instantly through a website link. Once you receive your link, you can download the photo and print as many copies as you like at home or at a retailer with a photo centre such as Shopper’s Drug Mart and Real Canadian Superstore.
I checked and I didn't get my photo, what now?
